________

ProGnosis Biotech ELISA Technology

ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is a plate-based test method intended for detection and quantification of soluble substances such as peptides, proteins, antibodies, and hormones.

In an ELISA, the antigen or the antibody is immobilized on a solid surface (microplate) and then depending on the analyte it is complexed with an antibody or an antigen that is coupled to a reporter enzyme.

Detection is accomplished by measuring the activity of the enzyme through an incubation step with a substrate to generate a measurable product. At ProGnosis Biotech we focus in creating highly specific ELISA technology that ensures our customers obtain accurate results every single time.

We Provide Complete, ready-to-use ELISA kits

Depending on the assay needs, ProGnosis Biotech offers ELISAs in different formats: Direct, indirect, or capture (Sandwich).

The key step for any ELISA is to immobilize the antigen of interest. This is achieved by direct adsorption to the assay microplate or indirect adsorption via a capture antibody added to the plate. The antigen is then detected either directly (labeled primary antibody) or indirectly (such as labeled secondary antibody). One of the most widely adopted ELISAs is the capture or “sandwich” format, which indirectly immobilizes and indirectly detects the presence of a target antigen. One interesting fact, is that the sandwich ELISA format is highly used in the industry because of its sensitivity and specificity.

Here at ProGnosis we provide our customers with complete, ready-to-use ELISA kits according to the format assay needed. Our ELISA kits–are assembled containing pre-coated antibody-plates, detection antibodies, buffers, diluents, standards, and substrates. In addition, strip wells are provided in the kit to allow full use of the 48 or 96 wells depending on the number of samples needed to be analyzed.
